Reiki Classes

    I offer classes in Reiki & Lightwork.   An Usui System Reiki Master since 1991, I enjoy passing on this healing gift to others who wish tap Universal Healing for themselves, their friends & family. My lineage is: Usui, Hayashi, Takata, Phyllis Lei Furumoto, Florence O'Neil, Jerry Farley, & Analyse Chamberlain.

    Reiki, pronounced ray-key, is a precise method for connecting Universal Energy - Chi or Ki - with the body's innate powers of healing.  Reiki combines the healing power of touch with life-force energy, made available to the student through a series of initiations that balance & fine-tune the initiate's energy field. Once initiated, universal life energy is consistently available, & you become a conduit for healing energy to flow into your own body, and into anyone upon whom you place your Reiki charged hands.

    Because the practice of Reiki does not require complicated techniques, it is easily incorporated into one's daily life.   It is compatible with any spiritual tradition, & people from many different paths enjoy incorporating their own beliefs into their use of Reiki.  Health Care Practitioners find it especially useful, as it easily blends with any modality, & boosts one's energy each time it is used.  As Takata would say, "hands on, Reiki on."

Reiki I is the basic 'hand on' form. You will learn the history, & principles of Reiki , how to give a treatment, & will be initiated or 'attuned' to the Reiki energy.  Doing 10 - 20 minutes of self Reiki daily is simple, increases your vitality, & is strongly encouraged.  You will find Reiki to be a wonderful tool, & will discover many uses for Reiki in your daily life. if you are already a health care practitioner, you'll enjoy adding Reiki to your work.
    First Degree can be learned in a group in a weekend class or over four 2 hour sessions. You can add Reiki initiation to a series of 4 hour & 1/2 sessions if you prefer to learn individually. 

    Note - in Oregon, you can charge for Reiki sessions without a specialized license.  The State Board of Massage Therapists considers Reiki outside its jurisdiction when you don't have clients  disrobe, & you don't use massage strokes, lotions, or oils in your treatments.  
     I suggest you  give & receive a number of sessions before beginning to charge, & am happy to help you set up a Reiki practice.

Reiki II includes the Mantras (words) & Yantras (symbols) for sending Reiki over distance, mental emotional healing, & blessing your home & food. You will learn ways to Integrate the symbols into treatment & use the energy in group settings, as you are attuned to this Deeper level.  Musicians enjoy the enhanced ability to transmit healing through the vehicle of their voice or instrument.
    Second degree classes are given in two half day sessions. It is usually suggested that you practice at the Reiki I level for at least three months before taking Reiki II.
    I also offer Harmonic Healing classes for musicians wishing to incorporate healing into their music - these classes combine the teachings of I & II, & suggestions on using music for healing.

Deepening includes a review of Reiki I & II teachings, learning to hold energy for Reiki Circle, Reiki exchanges with myself & other practitioners, & group meditation.  This is also a wonderful introduction to Mastery. Deepening can be taken anytime after your Second Degree class.

Reiki Mastery is a process which includes class time & private sessions. Passing attunements & the teaching format are taught, & you will be invited to audit classes as you prepare to teach.
    Mastery is offered to practitioners who have been using Reiki for two or more years.  If you have studied with another Reiki teacher, I will ask you to finish my completion requirements before beginning Mastery Training with me.

  Each course requires completion of basic practices for certification.

I offer an introductory series of Lightwork Class plus six individual Lightbody Activation sessions.   The class includes an introduction to the daily practices , Akashic Record Journey, Meditation, & formulation of a personal lightbody essence bouquet.
    This class & Lightbody Activation Sessions are open to anyone interested in Lightwork, separate from the Reiki teachings. I find the combination of Reiki & Lightwork to be sweet & powerful. Private Lightbody Activation sessions include Diaphragm Clearing, Ka Template activation, Cherokee Chants for the Chakras, & activation of the Ka Channels or 'spiritual meridians' as appropriate. Additional sessions may be scheduled as desired.
  Additional Lightwork Classes enhance the connection to your Higher Self & life path. I also offer a Lightwork Study group for those interested in deeping with this modality.

 The following is 'a very literal translation'  from the Japanese, as found in Master Toshitaka Mochizuki's book "Iyashi No Te" - Healing of Hands -- or Healing Hands:
   'Inviting blessings of the secret method
 Many illnesses of the spiritual (heavenly) medicine

    anger not
    worry not
 With appreciation Do work
 To people be kind

 In morning at night hands held in prayer

*** My friend & fellow Reiki Master Margo took a class from Frank Arjava Petter, author of "Reiki Fire," on Reiki as it is currently practiced & taught in Japan.
Margo said the precepts are chanted daily (3 times) while the hands are held in 'prayer position' just below the nose, so you can breathe over your fingers.  Focus your attention on your middle fingers, the heart fingers, as you say the precepts.  This meditation is done morning & evening, as stated above 'hands held in prayer' for about 20 minutes.

  ***     I set aside 1 weekend a month to teach Reiki or Lightwork classes , & am available weekday afternoons for private sessions & classes. I would be happy to talk to your group about Reiki, or offer training for groups of health care professionals, family members, or friends.
    Classes are given in my McMinnville office, or can be scheduled in your home or office space.  If 5 or more register for a class in your location, you attend at no charge!
