    Molly Sheehan of Green Hope Farm Essences says "Not all of us have an Ascended Master living in our neighborhood, but we all have access to flowers. The flowers have never forgotten that they're one with the Creator!"
    Flower Essences are elixors which utilize the energies of earth (flowers), air, fire (sunlight) & water. Fresh flowers are infused in a bowl of clear, cool water for several hours on a sunny day. The resulting liquid is preserved using alcohol, then diluted into 'stock' or 'dosage' bottles. The energy of the flowers which is tapped, not the fragrance!
    A 'lighter touch' than tinctures or homeopathy, flower essences can be used by anyone to enhance their growth & sense of well being. Flower remedies are self adjusting, if one is 'incorrect,' it simply has no effect. They enhance positive qualities, & assist you in releasing behaviors that no longer serve your highest good.

    Dr Rudolph Ballentine, author of Radical Healing , says he often begins a class on flower remedies by describing blackberries; when you're picking them, you have to be very careful not to get stuck in the vines. If it's not your sleeve, it's your pants leg! Blackberry flower essence is for getting 'unstuck' - "whether it's a job or a relationship one feels stuck in, the flower essence blackberry supports the effort to disentangle oneself from the situation." (p 105)
    Molly says Blackberry "tunes the rhythmic processes of the body to God's rhythm. It is particularly helpful for people working to adjust their vibrational rate to the rapidly excelerating vibrational rate of the planet. It stimulates the kidneys, liver, endocrine system & various rhythmic processes throughout the body, . . . & helps the circulatory system work more efficiently to absorb food, vitamins & minerals."
    Both these definitions relate to movement in harmony, harmony with current situations. If one is stuck, it's hard to be in tune & play one's part in the Divine Orchestra. This could be a good essence to take when traveling, to attune to new situations & time zones!

I enjoy sharing information & suggestions for utilizing flowers to enhance our return to wholeness & beauty. You can browse through the definitions of essences & bouquets I've made for an idea of some of the issues the flowers can assist you in shifting.

Build a personal pharmacy, & create your own Bouquets as you experience growth spurts.

Make 'Flower Water' from garden flowers & herbs that you could use for tea. Simply rinse organically grown edible flowers such as hollyhock or mallow, Self Heal, Lavender, Catmint, Bee balm, Ajuga; & herbs like Mint or Lemon Balm; then add to filtered or spring water, & use that day. Place in a clear glass pitcher for your next party.

Make an essence Bouquet to add to the water you soak & rinse your sprouts in. I use Self Heal (promotes healing, utilizing nutrients while fasting), Hopi Corn (Restore DNA to natural state), Comfrey (pattern repair), Gardenia (brings in Light), & Dandelion (unlocks nutrients).

Make essence Bouquets for your animals when introducing new members to your 'family.' Catnip is one that helps animals (& humans) work with integration, & Corn with crowded conditions & city stresses. Bach's Rescue Remedy is a boon for any emergencies. I add Yarrow to Rescue Remedy for its shielding abilities. You can also formulate your own individual Rescue Formulas for yourself & each family member!

Create Bouquets to help your house & garden plants absorb nutrients, repair DNA, & flourish.

Include more edible flowers in your garden & in your salads. It's sweet to pick a few flowers as you gather greens, & flowers such as Marigold have properties that enhance eye health!

    Though I have a personal Pharmacy of about 75 essences I've created, & more than 250 from other makers, I prefer working individually with clients to doing mass marketing. I offer essence consultations separately, or combined with a bodywork or Reiki session for maximum benefit.
    Edward Bach, who introduced Flower Essences to the modern world also desired to do hands on healing, & did develop that ability before his death. Hawayo Takata, who brought Reiki to the West, was a contemporary of Bach. Bach's dream was to make people independent of practitioners, with personal pharmacies to choose remedies from.
    Takata wished to make hands-on healing available for many people to use personally. I became a Reiki Master & began making essences in the summer of 1991, & find them a sweet & powerful combination. Using Essences & Reiki in harmony, we increase our ability for self care & increase our inner light .

Findhorn Garden in Scotland is where listening to the wisdom of the Devas (beings of light - the Sanscrit word for 'angel') & gardening in harmony with nature really 'began' in the 1960s. They also have a line of essences, & have interesting classes.
